Hi, guys, I'm new. I've just purchased 8 babies of dubious parentage and 2 ladies - purebred. They are named and residing in a brand new coop. All are on medicated feed, but should the ladies have laying mash and how to I keep the kids out of it? I've loaded a picture of the hen house but I don't know how to paste it.

HOWDY! glad you are here. As our chickens grew, we put a paver under the feeder to bring it up higher to the birds. this also helped keep stuff out of the feed. It is up on two pavers now. maybe that would help. Also the chicks should be on crumbles and the big girls on pellets perhaps? maybe food size will help keep them eating off of their own plates.
I don't really know. we got all of ours at the same time.
Good luck and again, Welcome!
