Hi there all! I'm a newbie today! although i have been keeping chickens for a few years now and currently have 21 hens, 7 cockerels, 8 chicks and 4 ducks. Oh i also have a rottie called buffy whose like a big black bear, 1 DS, 1 DD and 1 DH who thinks i'm the crazy chicken lady. My name is tina and my major chicken passion is ORPINGTONS!! they are the cutest, fluffiest, friendly birds i've kept yet. At present i only have 4 black roo's, 1 black hen, 1 buff hen and 1 blue hen, i've also just hatched out 2 blacks, 1 buff, 1 black with buff face and one buff with black stripe on the back (no idea what colours these will appear to be as they age). I have only just started breeding Orpingtons specifically and I'm very keen for plenty of info in this department!! I also keep, RIR's, Light sussex, Welsummer's, Silkie's, Lohmann Brown's and Jersey Giants, to name but a few. Well i hope i haven't dragged on too much, truth is i could talk chook all day!
