Hello,
I have been dealing with a hen with an enlarged crop. She is on a diet of yogurt and crumbles and has been inside for about 2 weeks now. This morning i decided to add some oil into her feed to help things move along and all i had available at the time was avocado oil. i put approximately 1tsp in with her food. I have since read that Avocados contain Persin which is toxic to chickens. I am having trouble finding it, but is appears that avocado oil does not contain persin. Does anyone know? I am worried i am going to come home to her dead. Please help.
