Hi, this morning my chicks hatched. The first one out has a bloody string thing coming out of her vent. She's acting fine. A lot has come out already. I'm worried and really unsure. It's my first batch that actually hatched. :( I moved her into the house into a separate area. Any ideas?!

Tried to get a pic without stressing her out anymore.

I'm having a hard time figuring out what I'm looking at there. Is it bleeding?
It almost looks as if its intestines are hanging out, which would obviously not going to be a good thing.
I hate to say this, but I would cull that poor chick :/

  4. Second that. Cull it.

One of our hens hatched a chick like that last summer. I tried like crazy to save it, but it died. Poor little thing, sorry.
