HELP baby chicken injured in the head

Hello. This morning I walked outside to
Check on the chickens and I found an adorable baby chick screaming in pain after being pecked at in the ear. What should I do to calm it and help it heal. Thank you.

Is the chick in a brooder or with a broody hen? How old? What are the extent of the injuries? Was it pecked by a similar aged chick or older chicken? Vetericyn or betadine is good for wound treatment, as well as plain neosporin or similar ointment. If the chick is not safe, remove to a small crate with food and water.

The chick was hatched by a broody hen. It just hatched this morning. It was pecked by an older chicken. And I moved the chick into my bathroom. It is not screaming anymore and it is sleeping under a rag. I will try to use those ointments you suggested thank you
