HELP. Broody hen-17 eggs 3 different hatch days(17th, 18th, and 19th)

    she has 17 eggs due the 17th-19th will she wait for them to all hatch???? what do i do? or if she gets off with chicks that hatched will she accept the othes if i put them in the bator and then give em to her? (both boodies i have are white legghons with 17 eggs!!!! lol)

    They are brooding together? You may have problems there. I had about 4 broodies sitting on a big nest and only one chick hatched. They fought over that chick and I had to separate them all.

    The broody hen will wait until she is sure nothing else hatches. She wont leave the nest for a while. I wouldnt worry about that. The only thing you can do is give them a safe environment to raise their chicks and some chick feed. Dont put any adult feed in there either. The hen can survive on chick feed also.
