Help! Broody Hen ate 10+ day old egg

I have a hen whose been sitting on 4 eggs for some time now. One egg went missing. Today I went to check the eggs and another was missing. I noticed the hen pecking at something out in the pen and it was a bloody egg shell, she was eatting it. It took some effort to get the egg up and out of the nesting box, thru the coop and outside to the pen. Why is she doing this and should I bring the other 2 eggs in and incubate them myself?

I hate that happened, But had something similar happen to me. If have an incubator and can get it up and running, I would bring them in.
