New incubator chick, placed with Broody hen (& 3 others chicks) 24 hours after birth. This afternoon I find one with its beak broken, interior top of mouth is swollen a lot, and skull skin is ripped clumped together and dried. Please refer to the pic and tell me what to do?!?!???!?! Put it down, or coat with neosporin and a bandage then replace the skin where it goes, I am at a loss!

I would try to cover it. Other chicks might peck at it and this could kill her. Good luck! I hope she turns out ok.

though if she seems to be suffering and is unable to eat or drink, I would say the only humane choice would be to put her down[IMG]
