HELP DOG IS IN LABOR AND I DONT KNOW HOW LONG TO TIE CORD OFF

My dog just had 2 pups and she cant seem to chew the cord I cut both Even though I read 1 inch Im nervous can I get anyones knowledge on this. 2 girl pugs so far. do I have to tie the cord or just cut it I mean I know the dog doesnt tie it in a knot.

I would get a piece of string for just in case it bleeds,

if there isn't any blood where you cut it don't worry about it

it doesn't matter at all how long the cord is, except if it super long the pup might get caught up in it.

i heard that u tie it closed with dental floss and them cut it off just above the tie .. i think its like 1 to 2 inches or so GOOD LUCK ORRRRRRRR its u make two ties and cut between them .. like this ......./..../......

Ok thanks alot I tied the first one but the second one I saw no blood so I didnt so I guess Im ok. I have been prepared but wow the stress is setting in.

You don't need to tie anything off the grump will chew the cords herself

yes nature wasntnt taken its course she has missing teeth and wasnt doing it but she did it for the last few.
