Help! Female guinea hens fighting!

My husband and I own four guineas, two female and two male. They are 6+ months old. Today the two female guineas started fighting and would NOT stop, we have them separated right now but have no clue why they are fighting or what to do with them. We tried to separate them and then they just continued to fight... sprayed em' with a hose.. still fought. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

They will fight unil they sort about their pecking order. Then they'll be friends like nothing happened.

I recently experienced the same thing with my new group of guineas. They were fighting brutally for a couple weeks. I actually thought one was gonna die it was in such bad shape. Now all seem to be happy. Good luck with yours.

You need more, they are flock birds. They get along better when there are 6 or more.
