Help: Food Smells Sour and Moves???

Please help, all of a sudden all of my food has gotten a gray film over the top and smells sour, like lemons. It also moves around on its own and I swear I can see little worms, maybe maggots cause we have maggots??? What happened??? Will my chickens be ok??? I’m gonna deworm them

The film isn’t mold. I’m not sure what it is. But I flipped over the feed and within 10 minutes the gray filmy stuff was back on the surface.

Just gave them dewormer.

Whatever it is it is compromised, I say get rid of any feed that looks like that

I threw it all away. It was Purina all flock, same as I always get. Usually lasts months.

sometimes feed you buy comes pre-infested. Check your feed stock, put separation between the bags.

I’m sorry it happened to you. The wormer is a good idea anyway. Doesn’t hurt, most people deworm in fall and spring anyway

I usually only have yk buy 1 50lb bag every few months. the bag was a quarter full when it got infected... so not pre infested. weirdest of all is the fact that out of the 3 places the food is stored, the completely outdoor chicken feeder is the least bad.

Update: seems like the garage is extremely humid & I didn’t realize.
