We have recently had a big problem with an unknown predator with a taste for fertilized eggs and today I went outside to find egg shells everywhere, which my chickens were eating..great... Anyways I was trying to pick up all the eggshells when I came across one with a nearly fully formed chick in it, that was cheeping!!! So I scooped it up as carefully as I could and brought it in to my mom to show her and ask her what to do. She removed the rest of the egg from the chick but it soon became apparent that this baby was NOT ready to hatch. There is still a very small amount of yolk left to be absorbed and she seems to be bleeding from it too. The only thing we could think to do was put some plastic wrap over that spot and stick her in an incubator. Shes still breathing right now and we really want her to survive so if anyone can give us any advice on what to do that would be great! Please help! thank you

*update* She died but any information would still be helpful in case of a similar situation occurring in the future.

Sorry to hear. I've got no information to help but it sounds like you did everything you could for it.
