I have a comfort chick brand brooder. I plugged it in yesterday and checked today, and it is not very warm, only about 80° under there. I assume that after year of usage it’s just given out. I have a couple little quail to put under there (first time hatching quail). Do you recommend that I go purchase in the heat lamp? Or has anyone had any luck getting one of those brooders to work again? I looked for a help number or email online but I couldn’t find any. The site only has instructions.
Also how long can the quail stay in the incubator until I get the heating situation sorted out? They have been in there for at least 24 hours at this point.
