I am currently hatching 20 BLRW. About 9 have pipped the shell but don't seem to be doing anything. How long should or can it take for a chick to emerge after pipping starts. At what point should I worry about them dying in the shell? Can they die after pipping? I am really trying to leave them alone. I have 4 chicks so far. My husband says they look like golf balls with legs.[IMG]

It can take at least 24 hours from the time they pip till they hatch. Sit on your hands and don't open the bator!! [IMG]

Can it take longer than 24 hours sometimes?
