(help Help Help Help !!!)ants And Injuried Chicken

I have a rescued appx 10 weeks old. He is injuried around his neck. Injuried so bad that i can see the flesh and possible cut(s). the injury is drawing ants...how can i protect him from the ants?

Can you put him in a dog crate in the garage for a couple of days? Or someplace safe? The only thing I can think of that would keep the ants away would not be a good idea to get into a wound.
