Hi, Hen has been sick like that for months. We have tried everything including curing with medication for the gape worm.

Hi, try feeling up and down her throat for an obstruction or for swelling.

Wow...that's loud. But her comb and wattle look good, not purplish, which would indicate that she's getting oxygen just fine.

Can you give us more info??? Are there any other signs?? How's her energy level? What have you tried so far??

I recently had to have a little pet roo put down due to breathing issues, but his comb/wattles were purplish...the vet suspected (not tested/proven) that he had a fungal infection in his lungs. I told her I'd tried Tylan 50, and she mentioned that it was about the strongest thing out there for chickens, and if that hadn't worked, nothing probably would. I'd had success with Tylan 50 in a milder respiratory case the year before. So have you tried Tylan yet???

Also, What other signs are you seeing that makes you think it might be gapeworm??? Is she shaking her head a lot? Have you looked down her throat and seen something???

She used to gasp for air a lot more then now, now she is just breathing hard when I did the medicine. Her activity is the same as other chickens, poop is the same. The Tylan is very expancive here, $60 and they dont have a small dose selling here. Im going to check the throat again.

I'm having the exact same symptom with a Buff Orpington. The vet said put Duramycin-10 in drinking water for prescribed period of time and treat the entire coop. This is day 3 and today she has worsened to the sound in your video. What was the outcome? What did you treat with?

Thank you for you update. The rattle is better today but has a bit of a runny nose. Hopefully will clear up. Hope your hen does as well.
