Help hen has a prolapse

    Friends Easter egger has prolapse laid an egg today tried to put it back in but it came back out again what can I do

    Pictures are always helpful. You can lubricate the vent and keep pushing it back inside, then try holding it in for several minutes. Honey or Preparation H applied inside and outside the vent may help reduce swelling. Place her in a dark cage for 16 hours a day, to help stop her from laying eggs. This will take several days. Keep the vent area clean, and Epsom salt soaks may help.

    The tissue looks good and pink. Hopefully the vent swelling with go down, and it will stay inside eventually.
