I have this precious little Polish with a cross beak, is there anything I can do for her? Can it be fixed? The feed store gave her to me free. I had to give her a loving home!!!!

Awww, babies! Totally worth getting shot over. Your little crossbeak can't be helped but you can make thinks much easier with wet mash and a deep bowl.:)

Oh gosh I know exactly how you feel. Yesterday I 'accidentally' bought some more hatching eggs on ebay after swearing to my husband that the batch of chicks currently stinking up our living room would be the last this year... Oops.

I live in the UK where we do not have feed stores or anywhere you can shop for chicks in person and thank goodness, because if there were chicks in a store I would be in BIG trouble. :lau

    Sweet little fluff balls ❤️❤️.
I had a cross-beak chick once. Took her to the vet who showed me how to use a Dremel to keep her beak from getting too long. Even so, she eventually became super thin because she just couldn't eat enough, so we culled her.
    Good luck!

Yeah I personally would cull any crossbeak or scissorbeak chick just because I don't think it's fair for them to waste away like that. It's really hard to keep a good monitor on how much they are eating unless you're weighing them regularly or handfeeding.
