I realize very little help can be offered through a forum but any advice anyone is willing to share with me will be very appreciated.

My coop is only suitable to house chickens for 3 months and it is on a property that is not mine back in a field away from any electrical source. Heating is not an option since I can't get electricity back there.

So I found a guy to take them in for me back in October and he has just emailed me stating that he is moving out and I need them gone by monday (2 days). What should I do!

I've been contacting every farm I know trying to get someone to take them in for me and I just can't find anyone.

I have one offer of someone to buy them but I have become attached to them and don't want to sell them [IMG]

What would you guys do in this situation?

I'd sell. It would be selfish to keep them if you can't take care of them. I don't want to offend, but you have to take a step back from your emotion and do what is best for the animal ALWAYS. [IMG] [IMG]

I agree, to sell them is best for them and should be a relief for you

Tell us where you are -- maybe a BYCer will offer to foster them for you.

southwestern ontario.... i agree selling is the most reasonable option. It's just hard because they are my first chickens and I raised them from a day old.. That being said I would rather another farm take them than to find them frozen in a week. Life was so easy 2 hours ago before I got the email to come pick them up!!
