HELP i think my hen is egg bound

she is painting real hard our roo kept jumping on top of her so i brought her inside...have had her for 16 days no egg....she keeps pushing like she is trying to lay one and cant walk good...anything i can do????

She sounds eggbound to me.

Try to keep her calm. I've heard that you can rub oil around her vent to help the egg come out, but I'm not sure.

i lefted her up and it felt like there was one in her....

well she finally laid it at 10 last night after 4 hours but the egg never got hard think its just bc it took so long?

oh well it was soft then...it was together but it was just mushy lol idk but she's back to her old self now i was really worried about her

I read that if hens lay soft shelled eggs you should give them some crushed oyster shell to give them some extra calcium.
