Help identify breed please?

Trying to help a friend identify his new rooster. Someone gave it to him to replace the one he lost to a predator. Not necessarily a pure breed, but a cross maybe. Not a great photo, and my first time uploading so here goes.

Do you know how old?

My first thought is that he looks pretty young still -- his skinny build and relatively small comb.

But if he has red earlobes and white skin on the bottoms of his feet he may be a Blue Australorp, who could grow up to look like my avatar.

I'm not seeing that, but I'm on a device with a small screen.

IIRC, there is at least one hatchery selling "Sapphire Olive Eggers" -- though I was under the impression that they were a sexlink cross.

Alittle blurry, but the beard is there.

Sapphire Olive Eggers aren't Sex Linked like the Sapphire Gems.
Females maybe Barred too.

Ah.

I had heard that they were a Blue Ameraucana x Cuckoo Marans cross and thus sexlinked. I guess I heard wrong.

This is a slightly better photo, but not much. He is 6 months old.

He does have beards
And I'd say he's somewhere around 5-6 months old
Probably a mix of the blue austrolop and ameraucana
