First of all, I am 3.5 weeks in to raising my first set of baby chicks...so bare with me. My fiancé just rescued 2 younger chicks last week. I am so curious to find out if they are bantams due to the fact that they are extremely tiny, but fly about like my chicks who are turning 4 weeks old Wednesday. I do not remember my chicks ever being as little as these guys...plus when they were 3 days old they were not flying about. Please help me identify them and help with a possible age. I am hesitant to integrate them with my flock due to their size. Thank y'all in advance!

So you do not think they are bantams? We have had them a week and they have not grown much if any... I have standard Barred Rocks and that is what I was thinking for the black little one...but the size is throwing me for a loop.

Mine are still tiny they just grow slow

Were your chicks able to jump/fly over 2 feet when they were that tiny as mine? I do not remember mine doing that when they were even close to that size.

I managed to get a picture of one of my 4 week olds with one of the rescues. I hope this shows the major difference in size. I am so anxious over integrating the two rescues.

UPDATE:
I’m not seeing the black one turn into my other barred rocks...and both are SUPER small. They are over 5 weeks old now...could they be bantams after all?! If so what kind? Help! These are my rescues so I don’t have a back story!
