Hello, I need help identifying this chick. Its an Americauna, that I know. I purchased, hatching Lav. Americaunas. Ive never had Lavenders before but It doesnt look how I thought it should. Shouldnt it be silver instead of
700

black? Please help. Thanks :)

Not an expert but it could be a lavender split to black. I believe in lavender breeding there needs to be a black bird somewhere in the lineage to help with feather quality.

Lavendar should breed true. It can be crossed to black and be split for Lavendar. But, if the person you got the eggs from told you they were Lavendar, then you should get Lavendar chicks.

Thank you thats exactly what I thought too. I knew about the spliting but she advertised at true Lavender
