I have two coops...one with about 18 hens and two roosters and one with about 40 hens and 3 roosters. I got 2 eggs yesterday. These were hatched valentines day this year so they are not old. We have about 11.5 hours sunlight. Temperatures kind of perfect...They aren't hot. I have been giving them 16% protein food..all veggie...why aren't they laying?? This is really expensive for me as one bag of feed is 23$....Is there an alternative to paying this much? Other feed choices with good yields? I have never even come close to 50 eggs a day...the closest I think was 26...but they have just about stopped and I don't understand. Thank you.

What breed are they?

When was last time you wormed them?

Does their poo look healthy?

Do you have enough space for them-square footage?
