I have 5 duck eggs in my brinsea 20 octogon eco.
3 of them have been in the incubator for 3 days, the other two have been in the incubator 1 day. I have a problem with the thermometers, I have two in the incubator, the one that came with the incubator is at the top and reads 105, the other is on the floor reads 99. Which one is accurate? I usually go by the one on the top and everything is fine? I also raised the temp a bit because eaerlier the one on the bottom was reading 97.

I really don't want the mess this up so any help/replies would be great!
Thanks

I have found that with my brinsea, always go with the one on the top. You have to remember that hot air rises, so the one on top will always read higher, but I've always had good hatches on duck eggs using the thermometer that came with the incubator. Its an old style, so there's not "electronic" issues and doesn't need calibrated.

Thank you, I adjusted the tempature and candled last night and was pleased to see all 3 of the older eggs had beating hearts!
Thanks!
