    Separate her for a while and treat the wound like you would a human's (irrigate & keep clean). Don't apply any ointments with painkillers (ingredients ending in -caine).

    She'll heal no problem. This isn't a serious wound.

    Pen her alone and apply antibiotic ointment. Don`t let her back in the flock til she heals........Pop

    We used a chicken saddle/bib on ours when she had an injury in the same spot. The rooster would still try to mate, and she would pick at/around her wound. Seemed to help the healing process. [​IMG]
