I have three seven month hens. We live in Colorado and temps have been cool 40-60. They have large walk in shed for coop with sand in floor and attached large run and we let them free range. We have had no other birds. They are eating and drinking and acting healthy and we got first egg . I was taking picture of Wyandotte (we have 1 Orpington and 1 leghorn as well) and noticed her beak has grey lump on it and feathers around ear lobe and beneath eye are all crusty . She seems healthy otherwise . I will attach pic . How should I treat and should i quarantine? Thank you , these are my first chickens (I may be wrong on Breeds)

When I click on your picture it's too blurry to see details. If it is pox there's no cure. It will run it's course in 4-6 weeks. Quarantine isn't necessary as long as you don't mess with the sores. Pox is transmitted by mosquitoes, so controlling them is the best prevention. Better pictures would help to be certain.

if you could get a better pic of the bomps that would be great fowl pox does spread so if one chicken has it the others will get it my flock had it and all of my hens had it people told me that it would go away one its own but you could look up treat ment for it just dont break open the bumps i think it might be painful for them mine still seem to have it i hope your flock gets better good luck

I just took some better pics . I’ve read about pox and think it would be weird to have in December in Colorado since no mosquitos here since September so now I’m wondering if bacteria or mites?

Not sure what is going on with her. By the way, she is an Easter Egger not a Wyandotte. In the early pictures , I thought it might be canker, but the newer pictures don't look like that. Does she have cheesy lesions inside her mouth ?
