Help me decide on a chicken coop

EDITED: I have moved on from this coop and I'm now looking for sheds to convert to coops. Thanks .


I need to know the following.

1. Does it look predator proof?
2. Does it have adequate ventilation?
3. How many chickens can it hold max?

It is about 4x6 and 5'9" from the ground to the peak of the roof.
Oh, and I would definitely add locks to all the doors.

Looks cute. Not sure about the ventilation, but other than that i think its okay for a couple birds.

It's hard to tell the amount of ventilation in the pictures.

How many chickens are you looking to house in there?

How capable are you to make adjustments? For example, the roost seems too high to me form the pictures ... like the chickens will be right in line of the draft.

Is the coop linked to in your profile giving you problems? if so, does this new one address those?

I assume your measurements do not include the nesting boxes (of which there are lots)

looks nice. I would agree with other post that the roosting bar may need to be lowered due to drafts.

a 4x6 would give you 24 sq ft which at the bare minimum of 2 sq ft per bird (I do 4 sq ft in my coop) would allow you 12 chickens but that would be very very very tight and make for some long winters.
