Hope I've helped!Hi,
I have no idea how to tell apart the roosters and hens. I'm starting to think they are mostly roosters. I have 11 of them hoping half would be hens... Can anyone help or are they still too young? Okay, I'm going to try my best to sex these chicks...
This one looks like a rooster because of the pink comb and wattles and the stance. Do you know what breed it is?
At this point, this bird looks like a pullet. She/he just has a different body shape than the one above, and a slightly smaller, paler comb. Still, could you get a closer picture of the face?
This bird appears to be a pullet so far.
I believe that the the bird in front is a pullet, and the white one in back is a pullet. The others are too far away and in the wrong positions to see, though I have a feeling that the Barred Rock in back is a rooster.
I think that this is a pullet, even though the comb is rather large. If the comb gets red, my opinion will change to cockerel.
All of these birds are pullets.
Pullet.
The bird on the far left is a pullet, while the bird next to her is a cockerel. This is because he has a larger, pinker comb, and lighter coloring. In Barred Rocks and other Barred/Cuckoo breeds, lighter coloring often indicates a male.
I think that this bird is a pullet.
Yeah, I can see the Speckled Sussex and the Barred Plymouth Rocks. You white one in the last picture might be a Ideal 236 bird (I just looked up a photo, and Ideal 236 are white with some black spots/speckles). Knowing what your two top birds (the black and orange ones) are helps. They are Black Sex-Links, and are both pullets, as cockerels would be barred, not black with orange streaking.Thank you so much!
I know I have:
Barred Plymouth Rocks
Speckled Sussex
Ideal 236
Black Sex Links
And another breed, I think, but I don't remember.
I will probably need to wait till my wife gets home before I can take each chickens picture individually. Hearing Pullets on some of them made my day!![]()
