So since listening to my bantam crow and knowing that my red could possibly be a cockerel as well, I am left with potentially only 4 egg layers once my older ladies go to my dad. So, I went to a local store and picked up two more. All bins say pullet so I just want to be sure. Not sure of the age of these, but if i had to guess id say atleast a couple of weeks. The leghorn does have a comb, but i have heard that can happen with female. This ealry tho? The golden laced wyandotte is my biggest worry. It has pretty large feet, and even tho the comb is still dark, it already has a red wattle. Is that common for these? Im really hoping not to have anymore males. All have small spur development First is a white leghorn. The second is a black jersey giant, and the third is a golden laced Wyandotte. .
