This little one is the only one I've been having trouble with; I bought 9 BO's, 2 SLWs, 2 BAs, and this bantam RIR a few weeks back. It's about 10 weeks old now, give or take a couple days. Reason I'm asking, I don't need a RIR rooster. Especially not a bantam. I think the comb looks more cockerel-ish but I have no other RIR the same age to compare to. It's got a fiery little personality and does not like to be coddled, unlike all my other chicks.

Thanks in advance if anyone can help!

Its pretty pink but doesn't look red enough to be male and there are hardly any wattles from what I see so I think it is female.

Sorry for the terrible quality, little turd won't sit still... lol. I got a better angle on the face, as the pictures I took didn't show the wattles.

Hah I had a bannie RIR and it took him almost a year to get full fledged and actually crow. Personally, looking at the comb it's probably gonna end up being a boy

Looks like a cockerel to me, with that much comb development.

I figured as much.. thanks everyone. I'm going to try and rehome the little fella. He's sweet as pie for now but I'm not a fan of RIR roosters, they can be some nasty.

At 10 weeks I'm thinking pullet. If it's a cockerel it's very slow to develop.
