Can you guys help me guess the gender of this cochin chicken? The feed store said that she's a girl, but what concerns me is those waddles at around 5 weeks old. The store said they're 90% accurate and all my other chicks seem to be girls, so I'm hoping this little grey one is too!

What magnificently feathered feet! I dunno... I just wanted to comment on the bloomers. :p

Pullet. It’s quite normal for pullets to have thin red wattles.

I've never had cochins but I've had a lot of orps, wyandottes, and mixed chick girls who had early and very pink wattles.
Cross your fingers. I hope you have a pullet. The anticipation is part of the fun.

pullet. Most of the cochin cockerels I've seen will pop a comb very early.
