My few month old Buff Orpington swallowed a 2 foot string; what should I do?
go to the vet right away string can tangle in the intestines and could stop here digestion. if you can not get her to a vet take her inside and stay by her side and always look for any string at her butt so you can pull it out (gently!!!!)
if you are not breaking down like i would be
p.s what type of string was iy
hope she is ok
My 3 month old Buff Orpington also ate a long piece of string today. We couldn't get her to a vet today (Sat). She was unhappy until she finished the string- couldn't pull it out, Gave her a dropper of vegetable oil. She is acting fine now. Hopefully she'll make it through the night.
Oh my so sad for you both- I'm gonna check around the yard tomorrow and make sure we're chicken proofed!
take her inside if you can supervise her you will need to help by pulling the string out of her but good luck
lachickencrazy, how's your Buff doing?
How did this end up?? I hope your baby is okay!!
