HELP!!! My Buff Orpington swallowed a 2 foot string

    My few month old Buff Orpington swallowed a 2 foot string; what should I do?

    go to the vet right away string can tangle in the intestines and could stop here digestion. if you can not get her to a vet take her inside and stay by her side and always look for any string at her butt so you can pull it out (gently!!!!)

    My 3 month old Buff Orpington also ate a long piece of string today. We couldn't get her to a vet today (Sat). She was unhappy until she finished the string- couldn't pull it out, Gave her a dropper of vegetable oil. She is acting fine now. Hopefully she'll make it through the night.

    Oh my so sad for you both- I'm gonna check around the yard tomorrow and make sure we're chicken proofed! :(

    take her inside if you can supervise her you will need to help by pulling the string out of her but good luck
