Recently my hen has had chicks and has been slowly abandoning all of them, at first I thought it was because she was a bad mother but now I'm wondering if they have a disease or are ill. I've been looking after them in my house but my most recent one has a large dark scab on its face and I have no idea where its come from or if I should start segregating the chicks from my other hens. I've attached a couple images of the scab does anyone know what this possibly could be from? Thanks!
