Hello! I just inherited a GQF sportsman cabinet incubator, and have 3 dozen chicken eggs I plan to set. However, the incubator came with three trays that I have determined to be pheasant trays, so the chicken eggs don’t fit in them very well, or maybe that’s just how they fit??? Help! Can I just use cardboard egg cartons? When they start to hatch, should I move them to the bottom hatching tray? Or is that just for already hatched chicks??

It does look like they are meant for pheasant eggs. They will most likely fall out once they are in the incubator. I'm sure you can purchase trays on ebay or amazon... Check it out?
