Help needed on age and what chickens is this crossed with Please :)

hi everyone i am needing help with the ages and what sort of chooks these are please. i brought them home on the 9th May, the breeder told me they were 18 weeks... they were alot younger than my other ones i got of him. Also could you please tell me what they are crossed with, as i asked him for a white, brown and black lol ( black is australorp crossed with rhode island red ) thankyou for you help

It seems to me that you have three sex link chickens. They all look about 16 or 17 weeks old. Sex link chickens are crossed with two different breeds of chickens, so since you say the black sex link may be an Australorp/RIR mix, the white one may be a cross between a Leghorn/Rhode Island White. The brown one looks like an ISA Brown, a breed of sex link chicken made by crossing a RIR/RIW.

thankyou so much for replying so quickly, the white one has got specks of black in her and a tinge of brown its really weird, yeh i didnt think they were 18 weeks when i got them... their names are Betty (the white one ) polly the brown and Sheila the black one

It looks like you have a red sex-link (the red and white), a black sex-link (the black and red), and possibly a White Plymouth Rock (the white one). Sex-links are hybrid crosses that are bred to lay a lot of eggs and to be able to sex them at hatch by their coloring, something about a bird with a dominant silver gene crossed with a dominant gold gene. They look around 16 weeks to me.
