Help,New,,Have Pullets/Roosters,not sure??Egg Laying how soon??

I bought some pullets,one is larger than the others, Is this one a male??He/She does not Crow..Do all young/old roosters crow?? My pullets have semi dry combs medium red combs on their head,any signs when they are LAYERS??x-owner says they are 3 months old.They are dominique/leghorn cross.white with black small spots.any info is great,thanks
