HELP! omg, i'm so upset, my Lucky has something hanging our of him

Please help, what is this, he is all bloody, the others must have been picking at it!! something is hanging out of him. :*( he is my daughters favorite and mine too, such a sweet boy, can i save him??

What part is it hanging out of?

Is it a prolapsed phallus?

Separate him, get him into a clean, warm dry quiet place for a little bit.

Sorry, I didn't get a picture, but it looks almost like intestines, but then at the end it looks like a penis. there is so much blood and he is still bleeding. he's not eating at all, his breathing is labered, and he's kind of rocking back and forth...my sister just took him to the humane society clinic to have them look. They'll put him down if there is nothing they can do. I don't want to mess with him myself, mostly because he's still bleeding alot, so If they can at least stop the bleeding to see what's wrong....i don't know. thanks for responding i appreciate it! I'll update you later today..

Oh, sorry to hear that! I'm glad you took him to the vet, though. I wondered what happened?

Unfortunatly to an unsuspecting drake- a dangling phallus can to other ducks look like something edible such as a worm. I have sometimes seen my group run after a drake who has just mated trying to bite it. So sorry to hear about your drake, I hope they can do something for him.
