Hello all. I recently (about 3 1/2 weeks ago) got a new chicken. She's a jersey giant, and I believe her to be somewhere around 7 weeks old? Anyway, she was kept in way over-crowded conditions. Literally, the chicks had to jump on each other in order to move across the 12"x12" wooden cage. So naturally, feather plucking took place. I was wondering if there is anything I can give her in order to help her feathers grow back quicker. I read that dry cat food, oyster shell, even eggshell are all good things to help grow feathers back, but I'm not sure if she's really old enough for that stuff yet.

No. You can not give her anything to make the feathers grow back faster.

If she has a good diet the feathers will grow back on their own. I won't take too long. Just be patient.
