help please ASAP can i hatch duck eggs in egg cartons?

I read they have to be on their sides to hatch is this true? I had them in my turner until today when I took them out and put them in a carton for lockdown. I need to know asap what to do so I can make the changes.

Well I took them out of the cartons and layed them on their sides yesterday just in case. Sure hope they hatch ok.

Greetings, I've only done chicken eggs and locked down in egg carton. I think duck eggs would do well large end up in a carton also.

Didn't mean to contradict you, if you hatched them that way I'm sure it works well.

Well all 7 have pipped and several are zipping, yay! So I guess I can say so far the side thing is best

I've done it both ways and got the same results either way. I think it is just your preference. Congrats on your new babies.
