Help please, broody hen fail

So we bought some day old chicks to put under our broody, she has adopted chicks successfully in the past but has rejected this lot. They are currently in a box in our bathroom with the heater light on. We're in australia so it's still warm. We put them in last night and she sat on them all night, but this morning was chasing them away from the food.

So now we need to raise them ourselves and i know nothing! We need to diy a brooder, but it's easter sunday and nothing is open, so first question is will they be ok in the bathroom for 24 hours? They have food and water. Although it's pullet grower, will grab some chick feed tomorrow.

The extra things we will need? A lamp for heat, grit? Only ever had broody raised chicks before. Last time i introduced pullets the flock killed one of them! At what age do i put these ones out? We have 8 chicks and 4 hens.
