[IMG] my whole tupperware container just dumped on me!!! there is very little bit left in it, and i just last night after shopping poured 5 pounds in it [IMG]

I made a HUGE container of macaroni salad( i use mayo, onions, celery and tuna).

i have already rinsed the macaroni with cold water. im thinking a pound or JUST over is left.

I hate to waste it.. is there any other ideas even for a different salad maybe that i can make? I dont have my car today, but just some things off the top of my head i have

    oil
Salad dressings, various, but i know i should have italian
    A few cucumbers
    onions

    Various things in cans
    cream of mushroom
cream of chicken, the usual tomato sauces, etc.

help! im usually creative but im drawing a blank

I've used extra pasta up by putting it with cream of chicken/mushroom (whatever you have) and some leftover sausage and a can of rotel, you can add milk or water to thin the cream sauce down a bit if you need to. You can put sprinkle some shredded cheese on it if you want.

    Homemade mac and cheese?

You could use the italian dressing and cucumbers and onions to make a cold salad, too. Throw in some green peppers or tomatoes if you have them, too.

Are you going to be able to eat all that macaroni? If you aren't then I wouldn't throw good money after bad. I would cook it up and feed it to the chickens. That is feed, not waste

hmm i have no cheese, but i do have mac n cheese.. maybe i can steal the powder out of them and just use that macaroni later.

Ive gotten myself into this mess.. dang today isnt my day! LOL

I have a fellow BYC-er coming toda and since she has gotten chickens her daughter has gone veg.. except for eggs and milk. so the cream of chicken is out.. i dont know if she likes mushrooms. the cheese powder is the best idea so far... should i just butter or oil the noodles and cover them in an oven safe dish for now til i mix it up and i can put it in the oven?

    Quote:thats also a good idea!!!

i have a family of five, and i have some company coming over this evening.. and the salad will be good for days so im not worried about that part. its the excess.

i should smack myself TWICE!! i forgot about the bazillion chickens out there!!!

I use BTL for mac noodles if you have any mayo left.

    Lettuce
    tomatoes
    mayo or Miracle Whip
    chopped bacon or bacon bits
    Paramesan cheese (opt)
    Shredded cheese

I've heard people using Ranch Dressing in place of mayo. Must be good!
