I just lost one of my favorite Ameracaunas because I thought she was injured. One of her wings were hanging lower than the other and she left the roost and started staying in the laying box. Two nights later she is laying on the floor of the coop. I picked her up and her rear was bloody and it looked like a prolapsed vent. So I brought her in and cleaned her up and gave her a kennel to stay in with electrolytes water and treated her rear end and pushed her vent back in. She also got a 20 min soak in Epsom salt. she seemed to perk up the next day and I worried less but by that night she was laying down which she wasn't doing earlier. By the 4th day she was laying on her side and I knew I had tried. We had to put her down to quit her suffering. No I have another Ameracauna that is looking pitiful. She has a droopy tail, wing feathers, and isn't interested in her feed. She stopped roosting and moved to the nesting box also. She seems a little weak. I don't know what to do. I don't have a large flock, and down to three and at this point looks like it maybe two if I can't help her. Can someone please help me.
