I just candled my second last egg to hatch (end of day 21) and saw this weird what looked to be blood spot in the air sac (this egg got a crack in it a few days ago which i taped up). I couldn't see movement and assumed the crack had killed the chick. So I opened a small hole in the air cell and the chick is still alive, and hasn't pipped internally yet. I put it on a damp paper towel, wet the membrane with coconut oil and put it in a cup so the chicks that have hatched that are in the incubator wouldn't touch the veins and make it bleed. Should I do anything else?? Thanks!
