    My husband is building a coop for our girls right now- the first we have ever had. How wide and deep do the nest boxes need to be???????

    12 x 12 works for most breeds. 14 inches of head room.

    Great thing about a 12x12 is you can get a dust pan in there to scoop out shavings!
    You need one nest for every 4-5 birds.
