Hello everyone, thank you for taking the time to read and help me (if you can), I bought 3 chicks about 7 weeks ago, sadly 1 did not make it, so left with 2, this morning I heard one should like it was screaming, I looked around online and looks like it's a rooster learning to crow, what I need help with is finding a new home for the rooster since in Sacramento, CA we are not allowed to have Roosters

It is possible he/she isn't a rooster, I had a hen who used wake me up at five in the morning sometimes just because she wanted something so its possible he/she was just trying to make some noise. I would be sure before making a final decision though it is good to know someone who can take him/her if he/she is a rooster. Also if you don't have other chickens you wont want to leave the girl alone, she will get lonely without a flock.

They are very cute Easter Eggers, and I think it's a cockerel. Are those hackle feathers getting pointy? I think so. Mary
