Help sexing 6 week BR chick

This one was sexed as a pullet but her coloring at hatch seemed rooish - I’m posting 2 day old and 6 week old pics. Big white stripe (not dot) on head, light colored legs. However, s/he grew a tail right away and a small comb at 2 weeks. Coloring now seems more pullet? I know still young but hoping for clues.

Hi. I have a 9 weekold pullet. It said online as long as they have black colors on feet they are females.

Boy am I glad. I’ve gotten a surprise rooster with every batch of chicks. No more roosters!

That's not accurate. You can sometimes tell by coloring early on, but mostly, you just have to wait until six weeks, then see if they have a bigger red comb or not.

It was accurate for me i am sure there are a few rare exceptions to the rule. Just like Almost every boxturtles genders are determined by eye color but every blue one we have an exception to the rule but more often than not what i posted is more valid 8 out of 10 will have darkee feet will be pullets. Below pictures at couple weeks and other is of my br pullet about to be 3 months on the first: )

The information didnt fail me. Its a pullet. The dot on head was much too big od headache for a scattered brain like myself. LOL

Generally BR males have lighter barring more gray than black and wide white bands, whereas pullets have dark black bars and narrow bands of white. Females tend to have a black wash over yellow legs. Males will have yellow legs.

I think most of the confusion comes from people calling anything with a barred pattern a barred Rock. If only one parent had barring, it's impossible for the male chicks to inherit two copies of the barring gene so they won't show the lighter color you'd expect in a Rock.
