Help sexing my friends and Breed!!!!

Was supposed to be a barred rock, but obviously not, in recent days has gotton the brown and is now showing iridecent like green and blue feathers on the back like a mallard duck or something.....What is she? and is she a she...6 weeks.

And this is our other barred rock..I think her comb is looking more like a he for 6 weeks but once again new to chicken farming.

I would say the first is a pullet (not sure what breed) and i would say boy for the second. I'm not very experienced in sexing chicks though.

Yes but I don't think we can tell what sex the smile is LOL......So a sex link is that just a mutt???

no a sex link is when they take 2 certain colors and breed them so the babies can be sexed by color. Your barred is a boy

The first one I think is a BSL, like everyone else, which would make her a girl just by her coloring. The second one looks boyish, but I had trouble sexing my BRs, I don't see any pointy feathers, but that comb is HUGE and very red.

Yes the one that looks more like a barred rock with the huge comb, has the leg markings of a female?
