We had to separate a mother call duck from her eggs before they hatched (a snake got six of them and she was to stressed to sit). Now one egg has hatched and the chick is lonely. We have given him a stuffed animal to cuddle with, but should we put the mother in there too? She is very lonely and stressed because her mate has disapeared and has not returned ( and more than half of her eggs were eaten). Please this is very urgent!
