HELP special needs duck wound

    my special needs duck has a fairly large hole on her lower abdomen what should i do?!!!!!!!!? sorry about the bad pictures im on a laptop and i am the one one in my house. how should i clean it and should i wrap it???

    I am wondering if this is some kind of pressure wound.

    I would clip the feathers from around the edge of the wound so you can see what you have. Be sure to keep her away from flies.

    Rinse the wound four times a day with saline solution or Vetericyn, and take a look at this thread for other ideas on dealing with a large wound. I would also consider oral antibiotics.

    Thank you Amiga [​IMG] I was in a hurry when I was on before I was in a rush. As you can see my spelling and capitalization are better. I will post on the duck section, I was just in a hurry and thought this would be the best place first. I will trim the feathers around the wound and take better pictures once my dad gets back with the best camera in a few minutes. Hope to get more information over there [​IMG]
